What are the pieces in your wardrobe you wear most often? Mine are the tried-and-true basics! They might not be the trendiest, but they are the essential pieces I can always count on to feel current and never outdated. I like trendy pieces, too, but the basics I wear most often.
Recently, my friend Bobby Schuessler at Who What Wear asked me which items I wear most often. I’ve highlighted three items here. If you’d like to read the full article, click here.
1. Neutral Blazer
The first item is a blazer, one of my favorite basics in my wardrobe! I love the structure of a blazer and how it completes my outfits. It’s a perfect layer for working in the office or with jeans!
Veronica Beard Blazer | ATM Schoolboy T-Shirt | Rag & Bone Payton Jeans | Marc Fisher Sandals | Naghedi Pouch | Warby Parker Sunglasses
I like to wear neutral colors in the spring and summer and suggest you add colors that will go with all of your outfits. If you like to wear color and want to add more to your wardrobe, this blazer is pretty; this style is popular and is available in a new color.

2. Denim
Most of us often wear denim, another favorite basic in my closet. I have to remind myself that there are other pants in my wardrobe worth wearing besides jeans. Ha! This spring, there are many styles of denim to choose from, and a few of my favorites are wide-leg, straight-leg, and boot-cut. I also look for lighter washes, white or ecru.

3. Black Dress
We all need black dresses in our wardrobe, and I must admit I have several. Black is a basic color I can always count on to look chic and timeless.

Black Dresses I recommend
I’ve tried most of these dresses on and can stand by the fit. Note: I have not tried the DVF or the Theory sleeveless dress, but both caught my eye!
16 Piece Capsule
I always view a capsule wardrobe as a guide. This week, I streamlined my capsule, reducing the number of items and introducing a few new pieces. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Where can I find the beige blazer (one button, nipped waist) pictured along with the Dior tote in your May 19, 16 piece capsule wardrobe.
Hi Gail, my apologies, I linked the wrong blazer. Here is a link to the board with the veronica beard blazer. It’s also posted in my LTK shop

Best,

This is awesome! Thank you! Is there less expensive option for Veronica Beard. Blazer?
I like the J.Crew blazer. Here is the link. https://rstyle.me/+GWoNwn-BZWfvWAbkNc7kcg
Paste that into your browser and it will pop up. It’s 50% off too.
