The JW Marriott Desert Springs Spa
This past week, I spent a few days on vacation in Palm Desert and then drove to Dana Point to visit friends on the coast. It was the perfect casual getaway—plus, we missed a snowstorm in Seattle! We had beautiful, warm days in Palm Desert, just as I had hoped. But Dana Point? We had a little surprise—rain! Thankfully, I packed my rain jacket. One of the trip’s highlights was a spa day at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Spa. My friend and I both had aromatherapy massages, and I enjoyed all the amenities, too. We had lunch by the quiet pool and relaxed—a treat. If you’re ever in the area, I recommend it! Take a look at nine outfits I wore on my trip.
Walking Outfit
I’m on my 30-day walking challenge, so my friend and I took a walk every day. I wore this low-impact legging set from Quince, and it was perfect! The leggings are lightweight and comfortable and come in many colors. I also wore a matching bra, which is great for walking or a studio class. There’s also a long-sleeved top and jacket; the fabric of these two items is similar to Zella.
I also wore my new On sneakers, which are lightweight and comfortable—great for long walks. Next time, I’ll remember to pack a skort!

Brunch Outfit
Brunch outside felt like such a treat! We went to The Fix and had a delicious breakfast before spending time by the pool. I wore a floral-print skirt from The Great—it’s light, airy, and easy to wear. It’s perfect for a vacation and even into summer. It runs big, so I’d size down. The V-neck T-shirt is one of my favorites (or look for less). I wear it often; it goes with everything!
The tote bag and espadrilles are from the February N6 Drop, and I wore them nonstop! The tote is sturdy and cute—great for brunch, shopping, and the pool. And the espadrilles are so comfortable. I wore them with this skirt and later with jeans, and they worked with both!

Pool Time
Both swimsuits and cover-ups are perfect for a resort stay. They’re true to size, super comfortable, and easy to wear!

Staying Cool
In warmer weather, this is the perfect casual dress to pack for a trip or for at home. It can be worn on its own, open over a tank and tee, or even as a swimsuit cover-up. It keeps me cool and covers my arms from the sun without feeling too heavy. I have worn this dress a couple of times.

Driving to Dana Point
I love everything about this casual outfit, and you can wear each piece repeatedly. The Frame striped button-up is so cute, true to size, and versatile. I wore it under a sweater on its own, and you can wear it open over a tank for a layered look. The barrel jeans are fun, a little different, and on trend. This style isn’t too wide, and the fit is great, but they run big, so I’d size down. And you can’t go wrong with a Quince fisherman sweater—this color is so good, and the knit is classic and effortless!

Rainy Day Outfit
Okay, the photo quality isn’t perfect, but I still wanted to share it to show off this cropped trench I wore in the rain ( I sized down and am wearing an XXS). It was such a great layer for a drizzly day! After a while, I switched to red Adidas Samabas. Ha! But it was still a fun day exploring Laguna Beach.

Lounge Wear
Frank & Eileen are known for their comfortable, high-quality travel sets; this is a favorite! A perfect morning in a cozy lounge set that works just as well for home or vacation. I’m wearing a size small for a bit more room and a relaxed fit. Plus, I like wearing the Patrick top with jeans for an easy, casual look. Look for less here. Travel Outfit
I took this photo right before we drove to the airport. This jacket was one I wore in the evenings, and it was the perfect layer for the plane. I also packed a funnel-neck sweater and scarf in my tote—I’m always cold on flights!
