I love this time of year—I can feel the weather changing. The days are a little shorter, the mornings are cooler, and my front porch is decorated for fall. This week, I shared a few things I think you’ll love. First, the Quince wardrobe basics—easy pieces that mix with everything in your closet. Fall is also the perfect time to restock your jeans, since they’re the staple for everyday outfits. And don’t miss the last chance to shop the Madewell sale—I rounded up some of my favorite pieces you’ll wear on repeat.
Front Porch – Fall Decor
I grew 24 pumpkins in my front yard this year! I started with just three plants, and before I knew it, they had taken over my whole front garden. It’s been so fun to watch them grow, and now they’re the perfect addition to decorate my porch.

Quince Basics Everyone is Talking About
Quince is a brand everyone is talking about. They make quality basics at great prices, so it’s easy to stock up on pieces you’ll wear every day. While they’re best known for their cashmere sweaters and linen, they offer so many other great staples too. The fisherman cardigan was my most-worn item on my trip to Paris and Italy, and I couldn’t wait to try the stretch crepe trousers and washable silk blouse. The blouse is gorgeous, fits true to size, and comes in many colors—I especially love the ivory for work, after five, or special occasions.

The crepe trousers are comfortable, versatile, and easy to style for dressy or casual occasions. They fit true to size, and at 5’2″ I wear the 30″ inseam. I also love that they come in many colors. I tried the crepe trench too, which is lightweight and chic. It’s a perfect fall coat and just as stylish for evenings out. Did you know Quince carries jewelry? I’m loving their gold hoops, and their kids’ clothes are a hit with my daughter-in-law, we both love the sweaters—plus, they make wonderful gifts.

Jeans to Stock up on this fall
Fall is the perfect time to update your denim, and the three styles I’m seeing everywhere are wide-leg, straight-leg, and barrel-leg jeans. These shapes feel modern, adding variety to your wardrobe.
I took a poll on Instagram about barrel jeans—not everyone wears them, but I think it depends on the cut. The Madewell Darted Barrel Jean is a good option since it’s a bit straighter and less severe than other barrel styles. If you’re in between sizes, I recommend sizing down. For a more fashion-forward look, try the Mother Half Pipe, also available in petite sizes. These run true to size, are comfortable, and have a modern barrel shape.
Wide-Leg Jeans
For a wide-leg style, I recommend the Paige Anessa, which is also available in petite sizes. It fits nine out of ten women and can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. Another great choice is the Mother Roller, also in petites, and it’s one of the top sellers.

Straight Leg Jeans
Straight-leg jeans are another staple—they’re comfortable and versatile. You can wear them long with a little break at the hem, cuffed for a casual vibe, or cropped right at the ankle. A couple of top picks are the AGolde Harper for a fuller straight cut, and the Madewell Dean Easy Straight. I like the AG Brinley mid-rise too, but it does run big so size down.
