I have to admit, I’m a jeans-and-sweater gal, and with colder weather here, I’ve been reaching for sweaters almost every day. It’s the season for cozy, textured layers and easy outfits that still feel pulled together. I tend to run cold, and since sweaters are on my mind (and make such great gifts), I wanted to share a few styles and brands I’m loving — and eyeing — this season.
Favorite Cashmere
Cashmere sweaters are always a favorite, and some styles — like the $50 Quince Crewneck — are just too good to pass up. Honestly, I could wear a different color every day of the week and be happy. But there are plenty of other styles I’m loving this season, too.
Speaking of Quince, I do love their structured cashmere cardigan — I have it in three colors. I often wear it as a layering piece to complete an outfit instead of a blazer. I also recently picked up their cashmere polo-style sweater, and it’s one of those pieces that goes from day to evening — perfect for dinner out with friends.

I’m also a fan of J.Crew’s cable-knit cashmere. I’m not sure if it’s the classic cable-knit design or the soft cashmere I love more, but the combination is just so good — I could wear it every day.
I always love Nordstrom cashmere, and this time of year it’s often on sale. I just picked up a new V-neck in Burgundy Field, one of the season’s colors. A cashmere scarf is another of my favorites. It adds color and texture to an outfit, and it’s a warm piece to have on the airplane. It also makes a nice gift.

A few other cashmere sweaters that caught my eye — like this gorgeous Frame Lace Gathered Sweater. Style it with jeans or a skirt and heels for an easy, festive holiday look. Plus, a cool-weather favorite to wear with jeans and a jacket is a cashmere hoodie. I’ve heard a lot about these Ayr jeans and thought I’d try them in a short length. Plus, the Gap has some fun colors and stripe sweaters here!

Novelty & Fair Isle
Novelty and Fair Isle sweaters are trending this season and are an easy way to add pattern and color to your outfit. I wore this Hyacinth House striped Fair Isle cardigan to an outdoor holiday market yesterday—it was warm and festive.

More sweaters. I love the Frame Fair Isle cardigan, and these J.Crew cardigans here and here are cute too.
Jump on this sweater from LOFT — it’s on sale for $25 today only. I just put it in my cart! Green is a favorite color of mine, and Tuckernuck has this pretty cardigan and an easy pullover from Hyacinth House. Plus, I couldn’t resist these festive socks!
