4. Boots
It’s boot season, and if you haven’t picked up a pair yet, it’s a good time to do so. A tall boot is always a nice option to have on hand — I reach for mine often, especially with dresses. My go-to booties are the Staud Wally (I found them on sale at Shopbop) and the Madewell Dimes boot. Everyone needs a Chelsea boot, and the Sam Edelman Laguna and Rag & Bone are great options. I also like wearing the Margaux Weat Chelsea Boot— it’s comfortable, stylish, and works with so many casual outfits. If you’re looking for a boot that works in snow and ice, try Sorrel or Inuikii — both are warm, durable, and designed for winter weather.

This is such a beautiful dress for the holidays, and it’s also perfect if you’re a guest at a wedding or another special event. It’s flattering, runs true to size, and as a bonus, it has pockets. I’m eyeing this top to wear with coated denim, this dress for a wedding, and I love this jacket.

6. Beauty
Beauty products are always on sale during the holidays, and I find it’s a great time to replenish my own cosmetics, pick up gifts, and look for easy stocking stuffers. Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer — if you’ve been thinking about this one, now’s the time to get it. It’s a splurge, but it works well and is worth it. It has made styling my hair so much easier. Also, Jack Black Turbo Wash is a favorite gift that the men in my family ask for every year.
Favorite Things Gift Ideas (or stocking stuffers) – Under $25
I’m having a few friends over for a Favorite Things party. We’re keeping the gifts under $25, and everyone brings two of the same item to share. Below are some of the gifts I picked out for the party. They’re all great ideas and fun to open — perfect for stocking stuffers. But I took a poll on Instagram, and the hand warmers were the most popular pick, so that’s the gift I’ll be giving.

I use this 8 lb weight vest daily on my walks, and I love it. It also comes in 12+ lbs if you want something a little heavier — and it’s part of the Black Friday sales too. The Summer Fridays Lip Balm — it’s an Allure 2024 Best of Beauty Award Winner and super hydrating. The Elemis cleansing balm has a spa-like fragrance and feels fantastic on the skin. I’ve also heard great things about the resurfacing pads—they are widely popular and on my wishlist to try.
And honestly… who doesn’t love Patchology under-eye patches? I tried the Medicube Collagen Mask, and it works. It leaves your skin soft and hydrated. Apply a thicker layer before bed, leave it on overnight, and peel it off in the morning. And lastly, these hand warmers. My friend used them when we went to a Kraken hockey game, and now I’m hooked.
