The weather has been a little tricky lately—it can’t seem to decide if it’s late summer or early fall. In Seattle, our mornings are getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, so I know fall is right around the corner.
This past week, I found myself dressing for that in-between weather. Here’s what I wore—and a few outfits I especially liked.
One piece I keep reaching for is the Aritzia funnel-neck jacket—I have it in two versions: a water-repellent version here and a lightweight style here. The funnel neck is the jacket of the season, and I love how it pulls a look together. Both run big, so I suggest sizing down. I’ve been wearing mine with touchpoint shorts and, of course, the Aritzia Lodge Pant—one of my most-worn pants.

For yoga class, I wore my Vuori leggings with an easy tank. I love a slip-on shoe for class, and these Riviera sneakers make getting out the door easy. You might like a similar sneaker style from Quince, too. I carried my Quince shoulder bag—it holds everything I need without feeling too big.

Weekends with the grandkids call for something relaxed and comfortable. I wore my favorite Ruti pants with a new Aritzia T-shirt and a Quince cotton sweater—perfect to tie around my waist or layer over my shoulders. The pants fit true to size; I’m wearing the standard fit, and they come in petite too.

A few new Avara pieces arrived this week. It’s a new brand to me, with well-priced pieces that are fun, colorful, and a little playful. I especially like the Gwyneth knit sweater—it’s so soft and feels really nice on. The stand-up collar can also be folded down, and I love the 3/4-length blouson sleeves.
The lightweight plaid coat is another fun piece. It’s definitely a statement, but easy to wear with jeans. It fits true to size.
