Jeans are at the top of my list as the most worn item in my wardrobe. Plus, since almost every outfit starts with a pair of jeans, it’s nice to have a variety on hand. Below are the season’s favorite styles of denim, including straight-leg, flared, and bootcut jeans. Also, I’ve included black and coated denim; must-have jeans to create day-to-night outfits.
Straight
Straight-leg jeans are classic denim and the most common. They are straight from the waist to the hemline and are available in relaxed, straight, slim styles. I wear this style with casual jackets, blazers, Chelsea boots, and sneakers.

Flares
Flared jeans are back and are easy to style with boots, sweaters, and blazers. There are several varieties, like a wide flare, cropped, or longline flare. The flare jean has one thing in common: the flare starts at the knee and continues to flare to the hemline. If you have a straight figure, try a longline style like Paige Laurel Canyon for a long-leg look. Try the Paige Genevieve, which balances out your shoulders and is a nice silhouette for curvy figures. Also, the cropped flare, like the Mother Insider, is a favorite style for many.

Bootcut
Wear a bootcut style when you can’t decide between straight or flared jeans. Bootcut jeans are fitted through the hips and thighs and flare at the hemline, which adds balance between the shoulders and hemline. This is one of my favorite styles of jeans, and I wear them often.
