Get ready because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here! I spent 13 years as a Nordstrom stylist, and seeing the new Anniversary product arrive in the store was always exciting. Things haven’t changed much; in my new role as a style blogger, I still feel the excitement of the sale and want to share my insider information with you so you can successfully shop the event.
The sale officially starts on July 17th, but Nordstrom cardholders get exclusive early access shopping days. Make sure to check your Nordy Club status to find out your early access shop date. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop early for all the items on your list!
Get ready to shop like a pro during the Anniversary Sale!
I have 10 useful tips and tricks from my years as a Nordstrom stylist that I want to share with you.
1.Embrace online shopping: While it’s always fun to shop the Anniversary Sale in-store, there are a limited number of sizes in-store and there will be more sizes and more merchandise available online. Shop for your must-have items online on your designated early access shopping date!
2.Preview the online catalog: Mark July 3rd on your calendar as the day to preview the Anniversary Sale online and start creating a wish list. Also, check out my Instagram and LTK for my suggestions and reviews on sale merchandise.
3.Shop with me for credit: Some of you have asked about shopping with me to ensure I receive credit, so here are the steps to take. Create your wishlist, click on any of my Nordstrom LTK links (from my blog or my LTK @stylishsandy), and it will redirect you to Nordstrom. You don’t have to buy the item you clicked on; it’s just to open my link. Once you’re on Nordstrom, you’ll find your wishlist there. Add those items to your shopping cart and check out. Thank you!
4.Choose expedited shipping: If possible, opt for expedited shipping. Next-day or 2-day shipping takes priority over regular shipping, filling orders first. If expedited shipping isn’t available, choose standard shipping, as the item will be shipped directly from the vendor.
5.Order a different size if sold out: If an item you want is sold out in your size, try ordering it in a different size. This way, you secure the item and can later exchange it for the correct size when it becomes available again.
6.Return unwanted sizes promptly: If you purchase multiple sizes due to being a tricky fit, I encourage you to return the size that doesn’t fit as soon as possible. This gives other shoppers a chance to purchase it.
7.Sold-out items may resurface: Don’t worry if the item you want is sold out initially. Many coveted things tend to resurface during the third week of the sale, so watch online and on my LTK for restocks.
8.Follow me on the LTK App: Make sure to follow me on the LTK app, where I provide merchandise links for all my Instagram posts and app-exclusive content. I’l also have an Anniversary Sale collection.
9.Prioritize important items and shop often: Shop for the most important and special things asap, as they sell out quickly. You can always go back later to shop for other basics.
10.Don’t forget the kiddos, men, home items, and jewelry: The Anniversary Sale offers a great opportunity to get discounted fine jewelry from brands like Bony Levy, John Hardy, and Monica Vinader.
