The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (early access) is starting in a couple of days, and there’s some great merchandise available to purchase. I’ve been busy previewing merchandise in the stores, trying on clothes, and reviewing online inventory for the last few weeks, so I’m ready for it to begin! 🙂 I highlighted my favorite items from top brands in my previous post, which you can read here. Traditionally, the Anniversary Sale is all about the basics, which means it’s the perfect time to stock up on those essential items you need in your wardrobe. These are the items you can always rely on to put together great outfits. So, I thought I’d share my wishlist of basics with you today, along with a few fun things that caught my eye. Take a look, and get some ideas for yourself!
My Wishlist
There are so many items on sale right now that I love. But I’m focusing on replacing some essentials, so here are elevated items we can wear in many different ways.
Nordstrom Funnel Neck Cashmere Sweater
This funnel neck is flattering, and the luxurious cashmere fabric makes it a must-have for any wardrobe. If you prefer a different material, here is the cotton version by Halogen. These styles are perfect for your wardrobe and can be worn in various ways to suit your style.
Prada Cat Eye Sunglasses
Sunglasses are a part of our daily wardrobe, so these Prada exaggerated cat eye sunglasses are a nice choice. They will elevate your look and make a fashion statement.
Vince Hela Bootie
Sometimes a lower-heel bootie is just what our wardrobe needs. The Hela bootie is a stylish option with a modern-shaped heel, is comfortable, and comes in three versatile colors.
Reiss Brooks Wool Long Line Coat

Vince Short Sleeve Wool Sweater

Veronica Beard Unity Stretch Button-up Shirt

Vince sleeveless Mock Neck Dress
This sophisticated dress is versatile, and you can style it in various ways: pair it with boots and a leather jacket for a trendy look, wear slingback heels and a crop jacket for a polished outfit, or go for a casual vibe by pairing it with a denim jacket and sneakers.
Paige Somi Sleeveless Top
This is a great layering piece to have in your wardrobe. You will wear it often!
Aquatalia Rozaria Tall Boot
Tall boots with low heels can be challenging to find; that’s why I like this Aquatalia. Its clean design, waterproof feature, and timeless style make it a reliable choice. Pair it with the Vince mock turtleneck dress and skirts to create many stylish looks.
Wit & Wisdom Ab Solution Ponte Knit Pant
This pant is perfect for achieving a polished look! These stretchy ponte pants are comfortable, have a high waist, full-length wide legs, and ‘Ab’solution power-mesh panels that shape and hold. There is a narrow pant style too.
New Balance 574
The NB 574 is a street sneaker inspired by the running shoe of the 70s! It is comfortable, tts and can be when styled with jeans, wide trousers, or wide trouser shorts, adding a touch of street-style flair.
Basics (Mostly) Under $100
Below are moderately priced basics from the sale (Jeans are over a $100). These are versatile pieces to mix, match, and create various outfits for different occasions. Think of them as basics for part of a capsule wardrobe.

It’s easy to be active when you look good in your outfits! Many items below are available in multiple colors.
My Lingerie Wishlist
This is the time to refresh your lingerie and add something new. Plus, I always buy extra sets of pajamas and put them away for the holidays. Also, make sure to get a Wacoal Red Carpet bra! The nude is on sale and is the best on the market. Stylist note: If your bra doesn’t fit correctly, Nordstrom alterations might be able to alter it for you.
My Beauty Wishlist
This is an excellent opportunity to restock your cosmetic supplies and explore new products. My husband asked me to replenish the Nest diffusers, which have become a favorite fragrance in his office! 🙂

1. Are you wearing the Vince sleeveless mock neck dress in a S or XS? I am 5ft 2 inch 132 pounds.
I usually weigh 126-128 so am working very hard to lose my extra lbs. I turned 65 this year and all of
a sudden I started gaining weight. I had a CRAZY group of kindergarten students this year, so I think it
is mostly due to my sweet tooth and stress eating. This year will be my last year of teaching! I am excited, but also will miss all the little faces and the light bulbs that go off during the year. There is nothing better that teaching a child how to read.
2. Do you think that the Vince sweater jacket in a small would work? What size are you wearing? I live in
Lake Oswego and think that it looks so cozy.
3. I wanted to thank you for the suggestion of the ALC black pleated dress for weddings. I bought it and had it altered very slightly at the top to make it fit better. My daughter doesn’t want me in black for her wedding, so I will save it for upcoming weddings.

Thank you for your wonderful note. I would probably order a size xs in the Vince, but if you want extra room in the hips, go up to a size small. The Vince sweater in a small will be roomy and very cozy indeed. I love it. Also, I’m glad you like the ALC dress. It’a one you will have in your “LBD” wardrobe for years.
