Each month, my Nordstrom styling friends and I pick six favorite items that make up a mini capsule. These are new; trending items, you can wear together and with other items in your wardrobe. Plus, they fit 9 out of 10 women and are a mix of high and low price points. This month, we were all on the same page with our picks—they’re trending for fall and versatile. Below are the six categories and I’ve also included styling inspiration.
1. Frame Gillian Top
The Frame Gillian top is one of my go-to styles—I own it in two colors and rely on it often! So, I’m so excited to see it available in leopard print and as part of this drop. Here’s why I love it:
- Leopard is a neutral print that instantly adds interest to any outfit.
- You can wear it with practically any color—think red, bright pink, orange, white or black.
- Have fun with patterns by pairing it with stripes or other patterns.
- It’s versatile enough to be worn alone or under a sweater, jacket, or blazer.
The Gillian is a top you’ll find yourself reaching for time and time again, whether it’s for work, a night out with friends, or any time you want to feel chic and put together. If you want a different style, you might like this one here and here, plus this one from Amazon.
Since leopard is a neutral print, it’s easy to incorporate just a touch into your outfits. Try wearing a leopard slip dress under a blazer or leather jacket. For a different twist, try adding a leopard coat, handbag, or headband to your solid color outfits.

2. Madewell Belt
I’m a big fan of belts—they’re often the perfect accessory to complete a look. This Madewell belt is a trending item, and available with silver or gold hardware. It’s designer inspired and looks so chic. You might also like this one here too.
Studded belts are trending and add extra interest to an outfit. You might like this one by Khaite or this one by Rag & Bone, or a look for less from Madewell like here.
A designer belt is also a great way to introduce a designer element into your wardrobe. Make sure you choose a timeless classic piece that will last for years. Below are some favorites of mine!
3. Levi Bomber Jacket
Bomber jackets have a classic style that adds just the right amount of cool and works perfectly with casual and dressy outfits. The Levi’s bomber in this drop is a great pick—it’ll give your outfits a modern, urban feeling.
A nylon bomber jacket is always a great choice for fall. Another option is a leather one, like this one from the Nsale, or you might prefer this latte color here. Vince also has a beautiful leather option here, or an Alice + Olivia fun embellished style here.
4. Reformation Medium Shoulder Bag
Red is the season’s color, and a red handbag, like the Reformation shoulder bag, is a great option to add an extra pop of color to your wardrobe.
It has enough room for your phone, glasses, small wallet, and lipstick. It also has a magnet closure and is available in many colors. I also like the Reformation bucket bag—it has a great casual feel if you want a bag with more room.
There are many ways to add a little—or a lot—of red to your outfit. You can start with a handbag, like the Reformation shoulder bag, or try ballet flats, sneakers or this one here, slingbacks, or even bold lipstick.
5.Vince Bianca Slingback Pump
The versatile shoe for the drop is the Bianca slingback by Vince. I love the color choices, and the croc-embellished option is so chic. The 2-inch heel is a comfortable height to wear with jeans or dresses. You might also like this style here or check out this look for less here!
6. Paige Anessa Jeans
Wide-leg jeans are trending, and we picked the Paige Anessa, one of our favorite styles of jeans. This jean style is cropped and fits true to size. It has a 26″ inseam and an 11 1/4″ rise. If you are shorter, like me, I’m 5’2″, try shortening them to your ankle.
The tonal ecru color in the Paige Anessain is another favorite denim of mine. It’s longer and has a 32″ inseam and a 12″ front rise. These jeans are so comfortable, and I wear them often. Also, dark denim is always a popular fall wash, and you might like these jeans here or you might like to try my favorite Frame wide-leg jean, the slim Palazzo.
