This is one of my favorite times of the year—when it’s still warm outside, but you can feel that fall is around the corner and fall fashion has arrived.  With September here, I’m thrilled to share an exciting N6 drop with you! It’s a fall mini capsule featuring warm brown tones, ivory, and a touch of blue.

So, what’s the N6 Drop? Each month, my Nordstrom styling friends and I handpick six of our favorite items to create a mini capsule perfect for updating your wardrobe. Look at the pieces below. I’ve also added a few extra options that I think you’ll love!

In Addition, I’ve included some favorites from the J.Crew Sale!

1. Plaid Blazer

Tahari plaid blazer

Doesn’t a plaid blazer feel like a perfect fall jacket? This one by Tahari has those rich brown tones that are trending and goes with other fall colors like ecru, taupe, blue, or even red. It’s a similar style to my favorite Veronica Beard Miller blazer and a nice jacket to have this season. You might like the Rag and Bone Slade too, currently on sale!

2. Wide Leg Jeans

Frame Le Slim Palazzo Wide Leg Jeans Dante

A great way to freshen up your wardrobe is by updating your jeans. This fall, I recommend adding a wide leg jeans like the Frame Le Slim Palazzo, my go-to style; it’s flattering and very comfortable. I’ve been wearing the raw edge wide leg jean in Lupine repeatedly for the past few months. The jean style for the Fall N6 Drop is also a Frame Le Slim Palazzo but with a finished hem and a darker wash, called Dante. I recommend wearing heels like this or like this with these jeans. If you prefer flats, that works too.

3. Knit Sweater

The N6 Drop sweater is a lightweight, zip-front style by Good American. You can wear it zipped or layer it over a tank. It’s versatile, has a little edge, and is a cute staple for fall. I’ve included some other favorite cardigans here and more below.

4. Farm Rio Dress

Farm Rio Fall Dress

Farm Rio prints are whimsical, creative, and fun. I love the fall colors and style of this dress and can see wearing it to work with slingback heels, out to brunch with boots, or an after-5 dinner with a heel. It’s both playful and chic. Below are some other Farm Rio dresses I am eyeing. Some are on sale, too.

5. Boots

Do you like wearing boots? Once the weather cools down, I reach for mine all the time. I prefer shorter heels for comfort and style, and the Madewell Dimes boots offer both. They come in a variety of colors, too. I have them in brown, matching my driftwood brown kick-flare jeans, and they coordinate nicely with the essential tote bag.

Here are other boot options I’ve been eyeing and think are gorgeous.

6. Belt Bag

Way back in the day, after college graduation, I went on a Eurail trip and wore a fanny pack. Ha! I’m sure some of you might have worn one, too. I have to say, the fanny pack or belt bag has come a long way, and it’s a great style to have in your wardrobe when you want to add interest to an outfit and be hands-free. I like wearing a casual-style belt bag when I walk, but there are dressier options that are perfect to wear with jeans or a dress. This style, by Isabelle Marant, is cute, and I love the color for fall! Isabel Marant has other colors available, too.

Here are other fall bags I think are perfect for this time of year.
