Skirts are trending this season, and I couldn’t be happier! I’m a fan of skirts for several reasons. First, they are versatile and easy to dress up or down. You can wear them every season, and if your top and bottom halves are different sizes, a skirt is a perfect option. Below are some of my favorite styles and styling tips.
1. Slip Skirts
Every Thursday at 3:00 PM PST, I’m live on Instagram from my styling office! Tune in to see new merchandise and get my honest reviews and styling tips. The Lives are posted on my Instagram feed, too. For last week’s IG, I was at Nordstrom in Seattle! I shared some pieces from Sporty & Rich, plus dresses and skirts! Here are the Vince skirts I shared. The colors are gorgeous, and they are both timeless and versatile. Wear these skirts for a special event or as part of a casual outfit.

Here are additional slip skirts; some are moderately priced and have good reviews.
2. Midi and Maxi Skirts
I love wearing midi and maxi skirts from spring through summer, and many days, I’ll wear them instead of jeans, pairing them with sneakers or sandals for a comfy and chic look. Lightweight sweaters, t-shirts, tanks, and button-up shirts are perfect tops to wear with these skirts.

Here are some other midi and maxi skirts. Wear them with a t-shirt or a graphic t-shirt. I often wear the Veronica Beard Coralee top, a Frank & Eileen button-up or a Nordstrom style for a casual look.
3. Denim Skirts
Lastly, denim skirts continue to trend this spring. A straight style is popular, but the A-line styles from Reformation and Farm Rio are fun, too. Note: I tried on the Farm Rio skirt, and it’s cute, fun for spring, and fits true to size. Wear T-shirts, blouses, or button-up shirts with these skirts. I like wearing these skirts with heels, but you can also wear a Mary Jane, sneakers or sandals for a casual look.

Here are other denim skirts that have great reviews. If you like a knee length denim skirt, the Kut From The Cloth is a nice fit and cute style.
