Next week, we’re headed to Lake Chelan in Washington for a family vacation! I can’t wait to spend time with the grandkids and friends who are joining us — 40 of us in all. I’m getting my outfits, beach gear, and toys ready and prepping as many meals as I can ahead of time.
Here’s a peek at what I’m pulling together — outfits, beach gear, and a few toys the grandkids will love.
Outfits
For outfits, I’m keeping it casual, cute, and fun. I need something easy for hanging out with the family after a day at the lake. I also want a cute look for wine tasting and heading into town, a walking and tennis outfit, plus a casual dress for breakfast at Blueberry Hill and playing games with everyone.
Linen Swing Dress, Quince — perfect for after a day at the lake when it’s time to get ready for dinner. It fits true to size, and I’m wearing a small for a roomier fit. Another Quince style I really like is the linen fit-and-flare dress. It works casual or dressed up, so it’s great for wine tasting and a day in town. I love the Mary Dress, or a look for less, it’s an easy dress to take on vacation. Easy and comfortable for breakfast at Blueberry Hill Farms and game time with everyone. I also love wearing a flowy, sleeveless dress like this one after a day at the lake.
Air Essentials and French Rib Spanx Skort, and a half-zip top, is perfect for walking and then grabbing coffee with my friends.
La Blanca Swimsuit — easy and perfect for lounging at the pool and playing with the kids in the water.
Land’s End Tote and rash guard with UV protection on sale right now. Swimsuit Cover-Up — I always keep one close by.
Kids & Toys
Since this is the grandkids’ first lake trip, I couldn’t help myself — I picked up some fun beach toys and matching outfits for the cousins. It’s going to make for the cutest photos! I’m also packing all the beach gear we’ll need for a group our size — beach towel, chairs, sunscreen, and floating toys.
