I love following chic trends, seeing how designers interpret them, and applying them to everyday life. My Nordstrom6 friends like to wear the current trends, too, and recently, we were featured in the online publication, Who What Wear, sharing a few of the latest trends for the season. Take a look!
1. Monochromatic Looks
Monochromatic looks are effortless, easy to style, and always look chic. Playing with different shades and textures within the same color palette allows you to create sophisticated and pu-together outfits.
2. Denim Skirts
Denim skirts are trending this summer and will continue to trend this fall too! From mid-knee to maxi, these skirts are all the rage. They’re incredibly versatile, allowing you to pair them with a button-up, tank, or cozy sweater for the perfect fall outfit. Plus, almost any shoe option pairs with this skirt. I love wearing mine, and I find myself reaching for it often!
Style a denim skirt with sandals.
Or, your favorite retro or modern sneaker.
Blazers are a classic third piece to have in your wardrobe, and they’re super easy to style with jeans here and here, a denim skirt, trousers, or a dress. For an elegant power suit trend, you can simply wear a matching pair of slacks with it. It’s a versatile and stylish addition to any outfit!
Here are 3 classic styles you will wear often and never edit from your wardrobe. They are splurge items but you will have them for years.
2. Flared and Wide-leg Jeans
Let me share a bit about one of my amazing daughters, Lauren. She’s 35 years old and a busy mom who works from home. We like similar styles and trends, especially flared and wide-leg jeans. It’s a trend that continues to be strong, and we both love wearing them. Fashion is ageless! I surprised her with a navy blazer for Mother’s Day, and I had a great time styling it with wide-leg jeans so we could be twinning for a photo shoot. Ha! 🙂
Here are some jean options that I’ve tried, fit well and have great reviews.
