5 shoe Styles to Add To Your Spring Wardrobe!

I love this time of year when I add new spring shoes to my wardrobe. With so many styles trending, I want to share some of my favorites with you.

1. Sneakers

I’m a big fan of sneakers, and I love that they’ve become versatile enough to wear with joggers, jeans, trousers, skirts, or dresses. This spring, I suggest having two go-to styles. Versatile classic white sneakers go with all your outfits. Meanwhile, retro sneakers bring a trendy vibe to your outfits, adding interest and a fun look to your outfit.

Here are some of my favorite white and retro styles for spring, listed from left to right.

  1. Paul Green: Known for comfortable shoes, this sneaker is a favorite style and a top seller at Nordstrom in Seattle.
  2. New Balance: New Balance is a hot brand and a great choice at a moderate price point. I love the clean lines of this court shoe.
  3. Veja: Veja is so popular these shoes sell out quickly!
  4. Dolce Vita: While I haven’t tried this sneaker, it’s trending and has received good reviews. I particularly like the blush color.
  5. Adidas Sambas: Still the “it” shoe, especially in different colors, and I can see why. They are versatile and very comfortable. For size reference, I wear a women’s size 6 shoe, and in the Sambas, I wear a men’s size 4.5.
  6. Rag & Bone: My personal favorite is this style in a neutral color. They feature an Ortholite footbed, making them incredibly comfortable. I recommend going up a half-size in sneakers. I wear these sneakers often!

2. Loafers

Loafers are the perfect transitional shoe for spring, especially when we’re not ready for sandals. Lately, my go-to choice is the Carter Penny Loafer by Rag & Bone. Available in black and white, it’s incredibly comfortable and is a classic style for wearing with jeans, trousers, or dresses. It’s been on repeat in my wardrobe lately!

Here are a few more loafers I recommend:

  1. Rag & Bone Carter: A favorite for this spring.
  2. Gucci Loafer: I love this loafer. It’s a chic investment loafer. Plus, they are so comfortable, and I wore these shoes often when I worked at Nordstrom.
  3. Sam Edelman Loafers: These moderate-priced options from Sam Edelman are great picks. They’re comfy, true to size, and come in many colors.

3. Mary Janes and Ballet Flats

Ballet and Mary Jane flats are definitely having a moment this spring. I don’t wear ballet flats as often as I should, but they’re such a fantastic transitional shoe from spring through fall.

4. Slingback Heels

I’m thrilled to see slingback heels trending this spring because they are a favorite of mine. They are easy to wear with jeans, trousers, or dresses. One of my top picks is the Sam Edelman Bianca—its moderate heel height and walkability make it a great option. Plus, Stuart Weitzman is another favorite. Plus the Jeffrey Campbell slingback heel is designer inspired and so chic.

5. Slides

Lastly, consider adding a versatile slide to your spring wardrobe. There are many styles available, from casual flats to more elegant heels. I’m sure you will find a slide that fits your wardrobe.
