I’ve received many requests for warm vacation outfits, plus, this past week; I was fortunate to be on vacation with my family on the beautiful island of Maui. So now, I’m back from my trip and excited to share outfit ideas with you. Island attire can be casual, so I packed light, but like a stylist and blogger, I enjoyed people watching and taking notes on beach styles and tropical colors that I don’t usually see in cold and rainy Seattle. Below I’m featuring my style inspiration for your upcoming vacays, and early spring looks perfect for all season long.
Swim Wear
When I pack for a trip to the Hawaiian Islands, I remind myself that most women wear bikinis on the Beach, regardless of their age. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring a bikini but told myself, maybe next time. Ha. Below, I’ve included swim looks that are perfect for warmer destinations. If you missed my Instagram reel where I’m wearing a one-piece suit on the Beach, you can watch it here.

Walking and Yoga Outfits
Each morning at 7:00 am, we took long walks on the Beach and boardwalk to beat the heat and see the sunrise. Many people were out at this time, making for excellent people watching. You will love wearing these looks for an early morning workout.

Shopping in Town
I love to wear dresses on vacation, especially when shopping around town. And like a true professional shopper, I’m always interested in shopping at the local shops to see what’s new. On this trip, we went to Lilikoi, a darling boutique in Paia with outfit inspiration from swimsuits to denim We also stopped into the Flat Bread Company for the best pizza and mojitos.

My kids love exciting restaurants, food trucks, and bars. A few of us are vegetarian in my family, and the others could eat fish every day, and we found delicious cuisine and more than enough fruity drinks and local beer for all of us. On our first night in town, we went to Lineage, which serves family-style, Asian-American cuisine. I’d recommend them for their local fish and island Buddha Belly cocktail.
