Button ups, Dresses, and More: Seasonal Favorites from Frank & Eileen!

Now that summer has arrived, I’m excited to entertain in our backyard, enjoy my flower garden, go out for casual evenings with friends, and have lots of laid-back outdoor fun. So, I’m excited to have a few go-to staples by Frank & Eileen in my wardrobe that I can count on and wear throughout the season that are casual, cool, and comfortable. 

Joedy Boyfriend Button Up Shirt

Last year, I discovered the Joedy button-up shirt from Frank & Eileen, and I instantly loved it. The fabric is crisp, and I can wear it tucked in trousers or open over a tank with jeans for a casual look. So, this past week, I was so excited to receive a few new items from Frank & Eileen to try this season.

I’m always curious about the story behind a brand, so here’s a little more information about Frank & Eileen. The company started when Audrey McLoghlin, an engineer, set out to create the perfect button-up shirt for women. Inspired by her Irish grandparents, she named the company Frank & Eileen. They source high-quality materials and ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices. Plus, they are a B Corp, and as a women-owned and operated company, they strive to empower female entrepreneurs.

I love Frank & Eileen effortless styles that you can wear daily at home, to run errands, to lunch, or on your next vacation. I tried five of their best-selling styles and have been wearing them non-stop! Take a look below. I’m sure you will find a favorite!

1. Mary Dress

Say hello to Mary, the timeless button-up shirt dress! It’s so comfortable and a favorite style you want to wear often. Wear it alone, or style it by draping a knit sweater over your shoulders or tied around your waist. Plus, it doubles as a beach coverup on your next vacation. Also, I recommend wearing flat sandals or an espadrille for a casual and relaxed look. For reference, I’m 5’2″ and wearing a size XS.

2. Rory Dress

This is Rory —a longer version of the button-up shirt dress that may become your favorite dress for the summer. Wear this dress as is for a relaxed look, or add a belt to cinch the waist and create a structured outfit. Like the Mary, this dress doubles as a beach coverup and a 3rd piece over a t-shirt and jeans. Also, If you prefer a shorter style, shorten this shirt dress to the preferred length. I’m wearing a size XXS in the Rory.

Try tying a sweater or button-up shirt around your shoulders for something extra—it’s a chic way to elevate the overall look. Plus, here’s a preppy styling tip: pop your collar and roll or push up your sleeves. It’s all about the small details that make a big difference to the overall look.

3. Eileen Button Up

The Eileen button-up shirt has quickly become another staple in my wardrobe. Denim shirts are timeless, and loose-fitting button-ups are trending, so it’s a win-win combination. 🙂 These shirts also feature a bust-flattering button placement, which is perfect!

4. Wicklow Italian Chino

The Wicklow chino is a mid-rise, relaxed-fit pant with a distressed hem and comfortable stretch.
It’s a great summer pant for a casual everyday look, and I wear it on beach walks and while working from home.
