If you are like me, when going out, you want to look put together even if you are wearing a t-shirt and jeans. There’s an easy way to do this: by adding accessories. Below I’m sharing a few ways accessories help complete and elevate your outfits.
Layered Necklaces
Wearing jewelry is an easy way to elevate your look, and stacking necklaces, bracelets, and rings is a creative way to add interest to every outfit. Here are a few guidelines for stacking necklaces. Start by layering one or more chains of various lengths, such as a 14″, 16″, 18″, or a long 22″ necklace. For versatility, look for adjustable length chains. To create interest, add pearls, chains with colorful stones, or mixed metals. Then add a pendant to create a focal point and anchor the necklaces. Also, stacked necklaces can get out of hand and get tangled, so I recommend combining chains with different textures like here, here, and here.

Skinny scarves are a versatile accessory to have on hand when you want to add color to an otherwise solid color outfit. Tie it around your neck, use it as a belt or tie it onto the handle of your handbag. If you want to step into the designer world, add a designer scarf to your wardrobe.
