HOW TO STYLE FAUX LEATHER PANTS!

I love cool leather jackets and pants, but I bought into the faux leather trend a few years ago, and I’ve never looked back. I particularly like faux leather pants. They are easy to style and comfortable to wear. If I need to wear a pant other than denim, I usually reach for my faux leather.

Last month I was honored to be featured in WhoWhatWear. I shared several pant alternatives to wear instead of denim. If you missed the article, you can read it here.  “I wear Faux leather pants when I want to make a statement. I like styling them with a chunky sole boot for daytime and switch to heels for the evening. They don’t always have to be black either; try brown or tan leather too!”

There are various styles to choose from, like this jogger, cropped, and trouser. Take a look at the style boards below featuring different styles of pants; there is an option for everyone.

Classic Nuetral Look

Try wearing faux leather leggings instead of workout leggings or joggers when you run errands. Spanx offers one of the most popular faux leather leggings in regular and petite sizes. Wear a chunky Chelsea boot, layer a long wool coat and splurge on a designer scarf to complete your look. I Ike this Charlotte Tilbury lipstick for a pop of color too.

Fun and Flirty with A Colorful Coat and Hat

A bright-colored Rudy Liner jacket by Rag & Bone will put a smile on your face when you run errands. If you missed my Instagram post about this jacket, you can see it here. The hat featured by SH*t That I Knit is a splurge but worth it. Female-owned and operated, an all-female team makes these hats in Peru. The women knit from home, enabling them to care for their children while earning a living for their families. Also, the wool used is sustainable, and most importantly, it’s not itchy! Lastly, Sh*t That I Knit is the official provider of hats for the US Olympic Team. How cool is that? You will love their hats.

Evening Out for the Holidays

Green is one of my favorite colors, so when I noticed this blouse by Lagence, I knew I had to get it. This blouse is beautiful and pairs well with faux leather pants. Try wearing it with denim too, like here

With Chelsea Boots or Horsebit Slingback Pump

If you missed my Instagram reel featuring this outfit, you can watch it here. I’m wearing one of my favorite boots, the Rag & Bone Rover; it’s the perfect boot to wear with cropped faux leather pants. The Rover runs small, so make sure you size up. This boot is so comfortable; I own it in three colors! Want to splurge on a Gucci Horsebit Slingback pump? It’s a showstopper and will elevate any look. Finally, step out in a current animal print sweater by Eleventy Six. It’s the perfect length to wear with all your high-waisted pants or denim. You can see the matching skirt here

Out on the Town with Sparkle and Shine

This look offers enough sparkle for any holiday gathering. I like the sequin blazer over a simple silky camisole and faux leather pants. If you want to wear a unique earring, try Simone Rocha mini drip earring. They are fun to wear for an evening out or to dress up a white t-shirt, blazer, and denim look.
