Happy Anniversary!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the most anticipated sale of the year, and it’s going on now with fantastic merchandise available for the entire family. I suggest shopping for basics you can add to create a well-rounded wardrobe, and below I’ve highlighted a few categories to look for during the sale.
Denim
I receive a lot of questions about denim, how they fit, and which styles and washes to buy. So, I always like to add denim to my list of basics to update. This Anniversary Sale, look for straight and flare leg jeans as well as bootcut and the cigarette leg by AG, which fits most body types. Some styles available are here and here.

Knitwear
It might be warm outside, but many sweaters are on sale now. Stock up so you have good basics to fall back on when the weather turns cold. Vince is always known for nice sweaters; in this sale, a few fresh colors and styles are available. I also like several Nordstrom house-brand sweaters by Halogen, Treasure & Bond, Open Edit, and Nordstrom Signature that are excellent choices for cooler weather.

Boots
Boot season is a few months away, but it’s time to stock up on a few essential styles now. I love the skinny heel boot by Veronica Beard styled with straight, flare, or bootcut jeans. I always recommend getting an all-purpose waterproof boot like one from Aquatalia or Blondo. Finally, Caslon has an updated weatherproof lug sole boot that looks great with a straight leg and boyfriend jeans.

Lingerie
This is the best time to time stock up on your lingerie! Plus, think ahead for any gifts you might need. I ordered pajama sets to put away for the holidays.
