The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026: What To Shop First

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here.

While in San Diego, I tried on jeans, jackets, and shoes, and my must-shop picks are listed below, organized so you can move fast and shop smart.

Updated shopping tip: In past years, paying for priority shipping meant your order got filled first. Now it’s suggested to use regular shipping. Larger orders will get priority fulfillment over orders with just a few items.

1. Denim

As a jean gal, I tried on many pairs of premium denim in San Diego. Here are my favorites, and how they fit. For reference: I am 5’2 and wear a size 25/26 in jeans.

Paige Anessa High Waist Wide Leg Jean. This is my top pick. It’s also available in brown, both with a 31-inch inseam. There is also a 27-inch inseam in the patch pocket style. The Anessa fits true to size. I’m wearing a size 26 in all of the jeans pictured.

Mother Weekender. A great low-stretch jean to add to your denim rotation. It has a flared silhouette that gives you a retro kick, plus frayed hems for a little edge.

Mother Lil’ Weekender. This one is made for petites. It has the same kicky flare silhouette, but Mother adjusted the proportions to better fit petite bodies. The knee sits higher, and the inseam (27 inches) and rise (9 3/4 inches) are shorter, so everything hits in the right place. I found this jean runs trimmer in the thighs. If you are between sizes, order your bigger size.

Mother Kick It

This vintage-inspired straight-leg jean has been one of my go-to jeans this past year. Plus, it looks great with heels or flats. And it fits true to size.

The Rag & Bone Miramar pants went viral last year for a reason. These pants are so comfortable; you can dress them up or down, and they are perfect for casual days and travel. They stretch, so size down if you fall between sizes. I’m wearing a size XS.

2. Blazers

Veronica Beard blazers, Lafayette, and other styles are on sale every year and are always worth a look. For reference on sizing: I wear a size 0 in Veronica Beard, XS in Rag & Bone, and XS in Varley tops.

3. Jackets

Jackets are one of my personal favorites. There are so many good options in this sale. I tried on many of the jackets below and loved the fit and style.

4. Sweaters & Tops

This sale is the time to get Nordstrom cashmere. I love the hoodie too, it’s one you can wear multiple seasons and always sells out. The Vince sweater jacket comes in one of the best fall colors, and a statement cardigan never goes out of style. Button-ups are classic, too, and these all fit well.

For reference on sizing: I’m wearing an XS in the button-ups, a small in Frame, and an XS in Nordstrom cashmere.

5. Boots & Shoes

Fall is the perfect time to refresh boots and shoes. Here are the pairs that caught my eye. Tried many of them on, and the others are quality brands and cute styles.

6. Accessories

Accessories can add a lot to your wardrobe, and here are some that caught my eye. A little jewelry, a pair of sunglasses, a silk and cashmere scarf, a belt, and a few handbags round out the list.

7. Beauty & Kits

This is a great time to pick up beauty kits. The BK Beauty brushes are in my own shopping cart right now, and every other beauty product on this list is one I use and recommend.
