When I put outfits together, I often start with a pair of denim as the base of my look. If I’m wearing perfect-fitting denim, I feel the rest of the outfit will come together nicely. With many new denim styles trending, picking the right style for your figure and personality can be tricky. But not to worry, this past week I had a denim try-on session just for you! In this post, I will break down 7 pairs of easy to wear denim available right now. I’m confident you’ll find a pair that’s flattering and fits nicely into your wardrobe. Flare Denim

Frame Le High High-Waisted Flare Denim

Many of my customers love the trending high-waisted denim. Combine that with the trendy flare silhouette, and that’s a winning combination. This Frame Le High Flare is true to size (TTS), and the overall fit is flattering on the hips and bum. I am 5’2″ and have a curvy figure, and other than hemming the pants, I feel comfortable wearing this denim. Plus, it fits a straight figure as well. This is great denim, and I recommend it to my clients often.

Paige Claudine Flare Denim

The Paige Claudine is a high-waisted denim with a raw edge hemline and a hint of stretch. This denim is meant to be a cropped flare, so I would tailor it so that the hemline hits your ankle. Of course, a tailor at Nordstrom can always hem or cut off your denim for you.

Bootcut Denim

Mother Frayed Hem Bootcut Denim

Another easy-to-wear denim is the Mother Frayed Hem Bootcut. This style has faded thighs, good pocket placement, and a raw hem for a casual silhouette. I’d style it with high heels or sneakers to dress it up or down. Feel free to shorten to the ankle as well. This is a very comfortable denim to have in your rotation.

Mother Tripper Bootcut

This bootcut denim fits true to size and has a finished hem. It has a little more room in the thigh compared to the Mother Frayed Hem Bootcut, which I like. Try wearing this style with flats and heels. Don’t forget your lip color! I added a blush pink color lip gloss to brighten up the look.

Straight-Leg Denim

Paige Cindy Straight-Leg Crop

The Paige Cindy denim style is flattering on most figures, so I recommend it to many customers. If you need basic everyday denim in your arsenal that you can count on, this is it. It transitions from casual to dressy easily and feels and looks nice.

White Denim

Mother Frayed White Denim

As we head into Spring, many of us will want to trade our darker denim for white. My customers have tried and liked this denim. The frayed edge gives the denim a cool casual vibe but can also be styled for a dressier look when worn with a heel, blouse, and blazer.

White Wide Leg Denim Styleboard

If you are comfortable wearing straight-leg denim, I’d step out a little further and try wide-leg denim. It can be dressed up with heels or worn with sneakers for a street-style vibe. I love this one in particular because of the pocket placement in front and back, plus it’s a little different and fun.
