This past week I was in San Diego with my Nordstrom6 friends. Great things happen when we are all together, and this trip was no different! If you read my last blog, you know Nordstrom hosted the N6 for two incredible events. The first was the Designer Showcase at the South Coast Plaza store, and the second was our Nordstrom6 Pop-Up shop at the Nordstrom Fashion Valley store. The Designer Showcase is an opportunity for invited stylists and clients to get a preview of the new Spring/Summer designer pieces available at Nordstrom. I get inspired by these showcases and look forward to sharing my inspiration with my clients and readers. The Nordstrom6 Pop-up shop was the first of its kind. Together we had so much fun pulling merchandise from around the store and curating our shop. We curated a unique selection for our customers to shop with us in person. But, of course, the best part of both events was meeting our followers.
I am always following fashion trends, and my biggest takeaway from both events is that bright, bold colors are trending! If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I like to style and wear many neutral colors, but I have to say, it’s exciting to see pops of bold color trending this Spring. I am intrigued by all the colors and want to share my interpretation with you. The items on these boards are bright and fresh and make colorful capsule wardrobes for Spring. I hope you find some outfits you’d like to try.
The color pink is trending this Spring. You will see pink paired with orange, yellow, blue, brown and green this season. If you don’t wear many colors, try adding a colorful scarf, shoe, or handbag to ease into the bright trend. I’ve included various items that will mix and match, like a mini capsule wardrobe. You can use these items as a guide for a Spring wardrobe or when packing for your next vacation.
Green continues to trend for Spring. You can try a monochromatic look or mix in a pop of pink with light green denim. You can make many outfit combinations when you have several colors to work with.
Pantone has declared the year’s color for 2022 is “Very Peri.” It’s a shade of periwinkle, and I feel lilac is pretty close in color to this new color of the year. You can pair many colors with lilac, such as green, orange, yellow, and khaki. Have fun!
