Vegan Skin Care Products That Really Work!

Skincare and beauty products are more critical now than ever. For individuals who work from home, it’s essential to keep skin looking bright and vibrant for Zoom calls. For those wearing masks multiple hours a day (like me), it is vital to keep skin clean, hydrated, and exfoliated to prevent “maskne.” I follow a thorough skincare regimen, but I was eager to try a few new vegan products to see how they measure up to my current daily products.

The first product I want to showcase is the Arcona Cranberry Toner. I am a big fan of Arcona products, and this one did not disappoint. I applied the toner after I washed my face, and it removed excess dirt, oil, and makeup, leaving my face feeling hydrated, toned, and refreshed. A bonus is the pleasing cranberry scent. Plus, they also offer toner pads for people on the go!

Next is Paula’s Choice, Skin Perfecting Exfoliate.
“This is a mild exfoliating product to help remove dead skin cells while cleaning pores for a more even, radiant tone.” Once applied, I felt a tingling sensation from the active ingredient salicylic acid. Not only does salicylic acid help unclog pores, but it minimizes pore size and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. Since I have been wearing a protective mask for 7 hours a day, I plan to use this exfoliant twice a day to help remove dead skin cells and get my skin back on track. This exfoliant has a light, “clean” scent that doesn’t linger. Paula’s Choice is a Seattle based company too!

Years ago, I had malignant melanoma and since then have been diligent about applying sunscreen daily to protect my skin from blue light and sun exposure. I have used other products by Suppergoop, so I thought I’d try the Daily Moisturizer SPF 40. I used this product as my morning moisturizer and found it hydrating and lightweight with a silky texture. It flawlessly blends into the skin, and what’s better than a 2-in-1 moisturizer + added sunscreen?

Lastly, I tried two Arcona repair oils.

The first is Wine Oil. I mixed a few drops with my moisturizer and pressed it into my skin. This oil felt like a multisensory approach to hydration!   The fragrance of cloves plus the smooth feeling of the oil left my skin feeling nourished and amazingly soft.

Arcona also carries Cerise + C Barrier Repair Oil with a lightly scented rose fragrance. “It nourishes and improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture, visibly restoring a healthy-looking, youthful radiance while adding anti-wrinkle benefits.” Beyond the anti-aging, this oil has vitamin C and squalane, which help to brighten and soothe the skin.  So far, I am loving how it makes my skin feel and will keep it in my rotation for when my face is feeling dehydrated.

So far, after trying these vegan products for a few weeks, I am delighted with how my skin looks! Even under my mask, my skin feels vibrant and balanced.  I am glad to know that these products measure up to others I’ve been using.

I hope you give these products a try, I think you will like them as much as I do. Let me know which products are your favorites.
