Fall Coats: Splurge vs Steal!

Splurge vs. steal. High vs. low. However you phrase it; we all like to take advantage of shopping both ways. Below I will show you some of my favorites in each category.

I adore coats, and every year, I make a point to add a new favorite jacket to my collection. Stylist trick: put a sophisticated coat over joggers and sneakers, and you will look stylish on your way out to the grocery store!

Coats – Splurge

A beautiful camel hair coat is a splurge item and on my “long” wishlist. This Max Mara Manuela coat with a convertible collar and chic wrap style-front is sophisticated and will last a lifetime. The intricate pick-stitching details and the waist-defining belt adds to the beauty of this coat.

The Max Mara Rialto Hooded Camel Coat includes a shawl collar that converts into a hood.

Every year Fleurette offers beautiful wool coats, and they are usually on sale.  Whether you prefer a peacoat or long wrap style, Fleurette offers sophisticated and luxe options.

Here are some other options I categorize as splurge dress coats.

Moncler is a luxury clothing line known for its outerwear.  They combine practicality with urban style to create stylish clothing that is comfortable and functional. I splurged on one of these jackets a few years ago, and it has been a game-changer for me. From November to February, you can see me wearing this coat many times a week. I never classified the down jacket as a classic coat, but I feel it is timeless and will never go out of style.

Other high end jackets worth mentioning.

Coats – Moderate Price

Want to get the look for less? There are so many beautiful and reasonably priced coats this season, but I will only mention a few, or we’d be here all day, ha! Here are a few that are classic styles and then some that are more trendy too. I tried on the coats below, and was delighted to see they are all comfortable and stylish. The Sanctuary coat is available in this beautiful color’ “earth.” The Sam Edelman coat is in black and a wine color too. I would love to have either of these in my closet. How about you?

Who doesn’t love animal print or a faux fur coat?  The Sam Edelman and Topshop coats below are comfortable and fit well.  I’d be happy to add them to my collection.

Sam Edelman Pressed Boucle Coat, Agolde Riley High Waist Crop Denim, Rag and Bone Rover Boots,
Prada Sunglasses, YSL Niki Shoulder bag, Treasure and Bond Scarf
Topshop Faux Fur Coat, Topshop Scarf, Paige Hoxton High waist Denim,
Prada Sunglasses, Rag and Bone Rover Boot, YSL Niki Shoulder Bag.

Other options that you might enjoy.

Can’t forget a few accessories.  I’ve mixed high and low together.

Halogen Hat, Moncler Scarf, Canada Goose Beanie

More splurge vs. steal looks next time.  Until then, Thanks for reading!

Cheers, Sandy
